End of Lease Pest Control

Bond-compliant treatments with the certificate your agent needs

End of Lease Pest Control — service brochure cover

About this service

Many Newcastle tenancy agreements require pest control at the end of a lease, particularly for properties with pets. We provide bond-compliant treatments including flea treatments, general pest sprays and cockroach treatments, with documentation suitable for real estate agents and property managers. We coordinate with your property manager to ensure all requirements are met.

Pricing

Flea Treatment is $195 to $350 depending on dwelling type, confirmed in your free written quote. Follow-up re-attendance visits, if required, are $165. Bundled with a general pest treatment, this service is a $110 add-on.

Depending on your location, a travel surcharge may apply, and depending on the extent of the infestation, an infestation surcharge may apply. Any applicable surcharge is always confirmed in your written quote before work proceeds. Full conditions are on our pricing and warranty page.

Before your treatment

Follow these preparation steps so the treatment works as designed.

  • Check your tenancy agreement or exit condition report — most require an internal and external flea treatment
  • Have carpets professionally cleaned BEFORE the pest treatment, not after — cleaning after can strip the treatment
  • Vacuum thoroughly the day before; this stimulates flea pupae to emerge so the treatment catches them
  • Remove all pets and their bedding from the property on treatment day
  • Ensure clear access to every room, the roof void manhole, subfloor and the external perimeter
  • Have the managing agent's details ready so the certificate can be issued to the right party

Our treatment process

01

Check Requirements

Review your tenancy agreement or contact your property manager to confirm what pest treatment is required for bond release.

02

Book Treatment

Book the treatment to coincide with your exit. Ensure carpets are clean and the property is accessible before treatment.

03

Treat

We apply the required treatment — flea, general pest or both — to all specified areas of the property.

04

Document

We provide a treatment certificate and documentation suitable for your property manager and bond release.

What's included

  • Flea treatment for all carpeted rooms and pet areas
  • General pest spray covering ants, cockroaches and spiders
  • Subfloor treatment where accessible
  • External perimeter treatment
  • Treatment certificate for your property manager
  • Coordination with real estate agent requirements

Not included (quoted separately)

  • Termite inspections (quoted separately)
  • Rodent control (quoted separately if required)
  • Bed bug treatment (specialist multi-visit service)
  • Carpet steam cleaning (arranged separately)

After your treatment

What to do, and what to expect, once we've finished.

  • Don't wash floors or skirting boards for at least 2 weeks after treatment
  • Keep the property ventilated while it's vacant — open windows where practical
  • Your treatment certificate is emailed the same day — forward it to your agent for the bond
  • If the agent requires a different treatment than performed, call us before rearranging anything
  • Keep your service record until the bond is settled

Children, pets & safety

Every residential treatment is planned around the safety of small children, pets and sensitive household members before any product is applied. Professional products are placed out of reach — in cracks, crevices, wall voids and roof voids — rather than broadcast across surfaces your family touches.

  • Keep children and pets off treated surfaces until fully dry — typically 1–2 hours after treatment
  • Cover fish tanks and switch off air pumps before we arrive; return them to normal once treatment is complete
  • Remove or cover pet food and water bowls, and place pet bedding away from skirting boards and treated edges
  • Tell us before treatment about pregnancy, medical conditions, pet birds, reptiles or fish so methods and products can be adjusted
  • Ventilate the home after roof void dusting — open windows for a few hours if you're home
  • Don't mop skirting boards or floor edges for at least 2 weeks — this preserves the residual barrier that keeps working after we leave
  • Never move, open or handle bait stations or traps; store all products exactly as placed
  • Safety Data Sheets for every product used on your property are available on request at any time
  • If a child or pet contacts a wet treated surface, wash the area with soap and water and call us — or the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for guidance
