About this service

Our general pest spray is a comprehensive treatment that addresses the most common Newcastle household pests in one visit. We treat inside and out, targeting the areas where pests live, breed and enter your home. The treatment provides residual protection that continues working for weeks to months after application.

Pricing

General Pest Treatment is $220 to $450 depending on dwelling type, confirmed in your free written quote. Follow-up, if required, are $165.

Depending on your location, a travel surcharge may apply, and depending on the extent of the infestation, an infestation surcharge may apply. Any applicable surcharge is always confirmed in your written quote before work proceeds. Full conditions are on our pricing and warranty page.

Before your treatment

Follow these preparation steps so the treatment works as designed.

  • Clear kitchen benches and store opened food in sealed containers
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors the day before — then don't wash floors for 2 weeks after treatment so the residual barrier stays intact
  • Ensure clear access to the roof void manhole and subfloor hatch
  • Remove or cover pet food and water bowls, and move pet bedding away from skirting boards
  • Cover fish tanks and switch off air pumps during treatment
  • Trim long grass and move stored items away from external walls so the perimeter can be treated
  • Secure pets away from the treatment area — take them out or shut them in an untreated room

Our treatment process

01

Inspect & Assess

We walk through your home, identify active pests and entry points, and assess conditions that attract them.

02

Interior Treatment

We apply targeted treatment to living areas, kitchen, bathrooms, skirting and cupboards using gel bait and residual spray.

03

External Treatment

We spray the external perimeter, eaves, windows and entry points to create a protective barrier.

04

Roof Void & Prevention

We treat the roof void where accessible and provide prevention advice to keep pests from returning.

What's included

  • Interior treatment of living areas, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry
  • External perimeter spray to entry points, eaves and windows
  • Roof void dust treatment where accessible
  • Subfloor treatment where accessible
  • Gel bait treatment for German cockroaches in kitchens and wet areas
  • Residual and dust treatment for large cockroaches (American, Australian, Oriental) in roof voids, subfloors and around the perimeter
  • Web removal and spider treatment
  • Crack and crevice treatment to skirting

Not included (quoted separately)

  • Termites (require specialist termite inspection and treatment)
  • Bed bugs (multi-visit specialist treatment)
  • Rodent baiting and trapping (quoted separately or as an add-on)
  • Wasp nest treatment (quoted separately)
  • Bee hive removal and relocation
  • Possum removal and exclusion

After your treatment

What to do, and what to expect, once we've finished.

  • Keep children and pets off treated surfaces until fully dry — typically 1–2 hours
  • Avoid washing or wiping skirting boards, floor edges and treated cracks for at least 2 weeks
  • Expect a short spike in pest activity for a few days as insects are flushed from harbourages — this means the treatment is working
  • If ants swarm after treatment, don't spray them — the treatment transfers through the colony
  • Remove visible dead pests with a dustpan; vacuum as normal after 24 hours
  • Call us if activity persists beyond the warranty period stated on your service record

Children, pets & safety

Every residential treatment is planned around the safety of small children, pets and sensitive household members before any product is applied. Professional products are placed out of reach — in cracks, crevices, wall voids and roof voids — rather than broadcast across surfaces your family touches.

  • Keep children and pets off treated surfaces until fully dry — typically 1–2 hours after treatment
  • Cover fish tanks and switch off air pumps before we arrive; return them to normal once treatment is complete
  • Remove or cover pet food and water bowls, and place pet bedding away from skirting boards and treated edges
  • Tell us before treatment about pregnancy, medical conditions, pet birds, reptiles or fish so methods and products can be adjusted
  • Ventilate the home after roof void dusting — open windows for a few hours if you're home
  • Don't mop skirting boards or floor edges for at least 2 weeks — this preserves the residual barrier that keeps working after we leave
  • Never move, open or handle bait stations or traps; store all products exactly as placed
  • Safety Data Sheets for every product used on your property are available on request at any time
  • If a child or pet contacts a wet treated surface, wash the area with soap and water and call us — or the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for guidance
