What Termite Control Involves
Termite control is not a one-off event. It combines a protective barrier (chemical or physical), regular professional inspections, in-ground monitoring stations where appropriate, and management of conditions around the home that attract termites.
Monitoring Stations
In-ground monitoring stations placed around the perimeter detect termite activity before termites reach the building. When termites enter a station, bait is added to eliminate the colony. Stations are checked at scheduled intervals.
Integrated Termite Management
The most effective long-term protection combines a soil barrier with annual inspections and monitoring. This layered approach means that even if one line of defence is breached, another detects activity early.
