About Anna Bay
Anna Bay is a coastal Port Stephens suburb at the gateway to the Stockton Sand Dunes and Birubi Beach, with a small town centre, holiday accommodation, semi-rural blocks and national park margins on every side. The combination of sand, bush and tourism creates strong pest pressure — termites, ticks, spiders and rodents chief among them.
Local Knowledge: Why Pests Thrive in Anna Bay
Anna Bay is the last stop before the Worimi Conservation Lands, and the sand dictates the pest profile. Sandy coastal soil hosts deep-nesting Coastal Brown ant colonies that thrive under pavers and slabs; the paperbark and banksia corridors running behind the streets carry ticks, webbing spiders and termites to every interface block; and the tourism economy — holiday lets, the Birubi Beach departure point and the quad-bike tour operators — generates constant food-waste pressure in the town strip. Semi-rural blocks south of the highway add horse-paddock rodents and feed-store pressure.
Our Treatment Approach in Anna Bay
Anna Bay programs are sand-aware: we locate and directly treat ant nests rather than spraying trails, protect slab-edge entry points, and run annual termite inspections with monitoring for blocks against the paperbark corridors. Tick-focused lawn treatments are available for pet owners on bush-fringe blocks, and holiday properties are serviced between bookings.
